Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to service members and families at the assigned installation.
  • •Conduct one-on-one counseling, consultations, briefings, presentations, and provide referral resources outside counseling sessions.
  • •Develop and provide informational financial materials and coordinate/publicize Personal Financial Management classes and workshops across the military lifecycle.
  • •Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars and deliver support via virtual counseling/electronic communication methods as authorized.
  • •Communicate with leadership, participate in regular supervision and in-services/training, and manage duty to warn situations per DoD protocol.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required (may consider associate degree plus 4 years or high school plus 6 years in lieu of a bachelor's).
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •Obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the OCI process (as required).
  • •Must have AFC, CFP, or ChFC certification (DL Driver License also listed as required).
