Key Responsibilities

  • •Remain present at the examination site at all times while candidates are present.
  • •Time each section of the practical exam and read, speak, and write English instructions with reasonable proficiency.
  • •Control and secure the test area using Prometric policies; greet examinees and verify identification.
  • •Monitor candidates, observe, and rate performance as they complete their practical exams.
  • •Resolve candidate issues on-site or report them to the appropriate supervisor; protect computer software security and report out-of-guideline occurrences to corporate management.

Key Requirements

  • •Be 21 years or older.
  • •Hold an active license in good standing with at least 3 years of industry experience.
  • •Be NIC-certified as required and maintain certification as a condition of employment (NIC examiner training will be provided).
  • •Maintain no affiliation with schools or teaching for students preparing for state board exams, including no school affiliation for 2 years prior to applying.
  • •Be unable to work for a manufacturer or beauty supply and cannot grade candidates you personally or professionally know.
