Job Summary

Lead and accelerate school improvement across the GEMS School Management (GSM) network through strategic, time-bound deployments into schools across regions and curricula. Drive onboarding, diagnostic reviews, and measurable improvement plans, while ensuring adoption of GSM standards and systems. Partner with school leaders, owners, boards, and external stakeholders, support inspection readiness and accreditation, and build leadership capability to strengthen teaching, learning, safeguarding, and student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead schools through onboarding, transition, and improvement periods within the GSM portfolio.
•Conduct rapid diagnostic reviews and develop/deliver measurable school improvement plans.
•Ensure successful adoption of GSM standards, frameworks, and systems across teaching, learning, safeguarding, and student achievement.
•Support quality assurance and performance management through monitoring visits and data analysis.
•Act as interim senior leadership capacity when required and engage stakeholders (owners, governing bodies, ministries/regulators, external partners) with clear reporting and recommendations.

Travel: Extensive travel

Key Requirements

•Substantial senior leadership experience in high-performing schools (e.g., Principal, Head of School, Executive Principal, Vice Principal or equivalent).
•Proven track record leading measurable school improvement and turnaround/transformation.
•Experience with inspection preparation and school accreditation.
•Strong understanding of curriculum, assessment, and teaching and learning.
•Experience leading teams through change and managing multiple priorities and complex stakeholder relationships.
