Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead field operations for complex construction, infrastructure, and environmental projects by providing expert technical guidance and day-to-day oversight.
  • •Perform testing and commissioning of Protection and Control systems for high voltage substations, including hands-on protective relay testing using relay test sets and validating advanced test sequences.
  • •Coordinate with engineers, scientists, and subcontractors to deliver field tasks efficiently and in compliance with regulatory and client requirements.
  • •Lead field crews by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, ensuring quality control and safety, and mentoring junior/mid-level technicians.
  • •Document site activities using field forms and digital tools; maintain oversight of tools/materials/inventory; support corrective actions, incident response, and troubleshooting with minimal supervision.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent.
  • •Minimum of 11 years of electrical testing industry experience, including medium/high voltage circuit breakers, power transformers, instrument transformers, and substation P&C testing.
  • •Demonstrable expertise with transmission, generation, or distribution relays and protective schemes.
  • •Advanced skills in protective relay calibration and testing using relay test sets such as Omicron CMC 256/356 and Doble F6150, including microprocessor relay settings upload and static/dynamic testing.
  • •Working knowledge of electrical testing standards and procedures (NETA, IEEE, NFPA), plus strong communication, field documentation skills, and field safety/quality/regulatory compliance.
