Job Summary

Provide safe, effective nursing care to assigned patient groups and families by carrying out nursing plans under guidance of a preceptor or designated RN. Assess patients to distinguish normal vs abnormal signs, deliver direct and indirect care including medications and therapeutic agents, and perform procedures such as skin tests, immunizations, and phlebotomy. Ensure quality and compliance with QCHP, Joint Commission International, and the Plan of Care while documenting care in the electronic medical record.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide safe, appropriate nursing care using the nursing process to a specific patient population.
•Assess patients and identify outcomes regarding timely care delivery, including normal vs abnormal characteristics.
•Ensure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and regulatory requirements, and recommend necessary adjustments.
•Provide direct and indirect patient care, including medication administration and procedures such as skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy, and initiating peripheral venous access.
•Plan and document patient care in the electronic medical record, maintain communication with the care team, and initiate emergency procedures when indicated.

Key Requirements

•Provide nursing care in an effective and safe manner to a select group of patients and families under guidance of a preceptor or designated RN.
•Follow nursing regimes and plan patient care consistent with the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) nursing/midwifery competency framework and scope of practice.
•Deliver direct and indirect care using the nursing process, including administering medications and therapeutic agents.
•Perform basic assessment of signs, symptoms, reactions, behaviors, and general appearance to determine normal versus abnormal characteristics.
•Meet minimum experience requirements: at least 3 years (required) and 1 year in GCC (preferred).
