Key Responsibilities

  • •Optimize/validate HVAC equipment selection, including size, configuration, voltage, and options, by reviewing plans, specifications, estimates, and proposals.
  • •Evaluate cost savings and cost problems across projects and validate scope by reviewing transition documents, plans, and specs.
  • •Support sales by developing preliminary/final equipment submittals as required, running submittal release/consensus meetings, and applying necessary changes.
  • •Maintain competitive advantage by staying abreast of industry trends and optimizing expenses through vendor price negotiations for materials.
  • •Prepare equipment for order entry, verify/revise equipment pricing and coordination worksheets, reconcile job costs, and provide technical support after order closure through installation, start-up, and warranty service.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (or related), plus at least 2 years of HVAC experience in project management or estimating roles; or an equivalent education/experience combination.
  • •Alternatively, at least 5 years of HVAC experience in project management or estimating roles, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • •Familiarity with HVAC systems and/or temperature controls is preferred.
  • •Ability to review plans/specifications/estimates and validate equipment selection, configuration, and related technical details.
  • •Experience supporting submittals and collaborating on equipment pricing, discounts, and coordination for projects.
