Key Responsibilities

  • •Transport goods and freight between locations using a truck or tractor-trailer and ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
  • •Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, review BOL accuracy, and maintain signed POD for shipping coordinators.
  • •Inspect and secure loads, adjust trailers as needed (e.g., 5th wheel release, tandem axle releases, trailer doors), and respond to safety incidents following process.
  • •Load and unload trailers and support warehouse activities such as pick/pack materials and breaking down empty gaylords when needed.
  • •Use TMS/WMS (MII) to manage inventory and trailer loading/unloading, perform cycle counts and physical inventories, and submit required fuel receipts.

Key Requirements

  • •Maintain a current Class A CDL and DOT Medical Certification, meeting DOT physical requirements (391.41).
  • •Have 1 year of verifiable comparable driving experience within the last 3 years, including pulling 53ft trailers.
  • •Complete pre- and post-trip inspections on tractor and trailer and inspect loads for proper securing before departure.
  • •Use simple math and read Standard English materials (e.g., pack lists) to complete shipping and documentation tasks accurately.
  • •Use TMS and WMS systems to manage inventory and trailer loading/unloading and perform cycle counts/physical inventories.
