Job Summary

Lead the design and delivery of high-voltage transmission lines (34.5kV–500kV) for Canada, guiding technical aspects, deliverables, and project management within the Power Delivery team. Coordinate with contractors, manage scope/budgets/schedules, maintain client relationships, mentor the project team, and support business development across Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead technical aspects of transmission line design projects (34.5kV–500kV), including new lines, relocations, rebuilds, upgrades, structure replacements, and fiber optic additions
•Prepare and review design deliverables, such as plan and profile drawings, material selection, and construction specifications
•Conduct quality reviews of internal and subcontractor deliverables
•Manage and prioritize multiple projects within budget and time constraints
•Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure client satisfaction
•Act as Technical Project Management Lead and maintain strong client relationships
•Manage project reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable, and unbilled work
•Develop and monitor scope, schedules, and budgets against plan and contracts
•Travel to client offices, field sites, or vendor facilities as required
•Support business development activities and participate in proposal preparation

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Civil (BSCE), Mechanical (BSME), Electrical (BSEE) or Engineering Physics (BSc) from an accredited university
•At least ten years of experience in transmission design—overhead High Voltage and Extra High Voltage transmission lines including route selection, line and structure spotting, structure design and bid package development
•Proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-Lite
•Experience in a Project Engineering or Project Management capacity with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects
•Professional Engineering license (P.Eng.)
