Key Responsibilities

  • •Import payroll data from the electronic timekeeping system into the computerized payroll system and review payroll batches for accuracy.
  • •Scan garnishments to ADP or UKG, ensure computing/withholding/deductions are correct, and oversee paycheck and direct deposit processing.
  • •Prepare periodic earnings, hours, tax, and deduction reports, including BLS reporting when applicable.
  • •Assist with payroll tax and audit issues by gathering documentation, analyzing data, and organizing forms such as W-2s.
  • •Support payroll/timekeeping system administration tasks and back up the Payroll Manager when out of the office.

Key Requirements

  • •3-5 years of experience processing payroll, including payroll processing practices and year-end processes like W-2 preparation and reconciliation.
  • •Knowledge of payroll taxes, wage and hour laws (including FLSA), garnishments, deductions, and payroll compliance requirements.
  • •Ability to perform accurate recordkeeping and follow internal controls and audit procedures for payroll and taxes.
  • •Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data validation, data analysis) for analysis and reporting.
  • •Experience with payroll/HRIS systems; experience with ADP Workforce Now (or similar) is preferred.
