Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct thorough, on-site vehicle condition inspections for dealer clients in an assigned territory following Manheim inspection standards.
  • •Safely locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles on dealer lots, including verifying VINs, mileage, and options and recording accurate system entries.
  • •Inspect and document vehicle exterior and interior condition and perform basic mechanical checks across powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components.
  • •Engage with dealer clients to build trust, educate on mobile inspections, and adapt to appointment/schedule changes to maintain effective coverage.
  • •Prepare daily activity/production reports using Salesforce.com and collaborate with other Manheim teams while complying with safety and standards.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or GED required, with level-dependent automotive-related experience (0–1 years preferred for Level 1; 3+ years for Level 2; 5+ years and prior vehicle inspection experience for Senior Level).
  • •Strong automotive knowledge (body and mechanical) is required for Senior Level.
  • •Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required.
  • •Ability to meet physical and mental demands of the role within required timeframes.
  • •Clear pre-employment drug test required; Cox Automotive is a drug-free workplace.
