Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure Health, Safety & Environmental compliance, including safe work practices, documentation, inspections, and adherence to OSHA and other regulations.
  • •Direct and coordinate daily nonferrous receiving/processing operations by scheduling equipment and personnel and maintaining workflow layout plans.
  • •Implement process improvement suggestions to improve refining quality, profitability, and/or safety in the nonferrous department.
  • •Manage inventory and quality control by validating incoming material quantities/quality, conducting time & weight analysis, and maintaining WIP and month-end inventory practices.
  • •Supervise a group of employees, including training, performance review, interviewing, and supporting compliance with HR policies and union contracts (as applicable).

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or equivalent and minimum 3 years metal recycling industry experience.
  • •Valid driver’s license and ability to drive an automobile.
  • •Thorough knowledge of NF Materials Grading and ability to apply good judgment.
  • •Strong interpersonal communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • •Past supervisory experience is a plus.
