Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the Construction team responsible for capital construction projects, including design, planning, organization, and execution.
  • •Coordinate construction project logistics, timelines, and frequent site visits to ensure quality control and performance.
  • •Own financial management of construction projects (including those over $50M), including budgets, RFPs, contract terms, and review of invoices, change orders, and approvals.
  • •Interface with local/state agencies for permits, manage outside contractors for bidding/scheduling/billing/execution, and ensure compliance with building codes.
  • •Lead review and approval processes for project design documents, maintain up-to-date building and plot plans, and communicate project status to leadership and stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree required; Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • •10+ years of construction experience, including 5 years building e-commerce fulfillment/distribution centers.
  • •5+ years leading a Construction Management team.
  • •Food industry experience and significant knowledge of Federal, State, and local facility buildout laws and regulations.
  • •Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and negotiating contracts for facility expansion; understanding building/mechanical/electrical/plumbing codes; proficient CAD and Microsoft Word/Excel.
