Job Summary

Provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for patients with mental health conditions. Conduct mental health and risk assessments, develop and contribute to individualized care plans, and deliver therapeutic nursing interventions while monitoring patients’ mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Administer and monitor medications per clinical guidelines, support patients and families with education and psychoeducation, and maintain accurate documentation while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including risk assessments, and contribute to individualized care plans.
•Deliver therapeutic nursing interventions and monitor patients’ mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
•Administer and monitor medications in accordance with clinical guidelines and physician instructions.
•Support patients and families through education, counselling, and psychoeducation to promote recovery and adherence to treatment.
•Accurately document patient care, progress notes, and incidents and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for coordinated, patient-centred care.
