Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the architecture and development of complex AI and ML powered features across Rocket Money's product suite, proactively identifying technical challenges before they become issues.
  • •Design, implement, and maintain robust evaluation frameworks to enable continuous improvement of ML/AI systems.
  • •Develop novel product experiences that leverage Rocket Money's dataset and scale, guiding cross-functional teams to drive impact through technical leadership and product partnership.
  • •Own end-to-end development and implementation of ML/AI product features with cross-functional teams, providing rigorous technical critique and communicating business impact.
  • •Provide technical mentorship to raise the level of the team and foster high-impact contributions.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering or data science roles, with a proven track record of designing and implementing ML systems at consumer tech scale and speed.
  • •Hands-on experience integrating ML/AI methods into production workflows, including creating evaluation tooling and user feedback mechanisms for rapid product development and systematic model evaluation.
  • •Experience with prompt engineering and management for LLM-based applications.
  • •Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL, plus multiple ML frameworks; working knowledge of TypeScript is a plus; strong NLP experience is a plus.
  • •Ability to take ambiguous problems, break down work, and lead development, launch, and maintenance for scaled ML/AI products.
