Job Summary

Dynamic Public Relations Manager to amplify Couchbase’s enterprise presence through strategic media relations, content coordination, and executive communications. You will lead media monitoring, rapid response, influencer relations, and thought leadership programs, partnering with marketing, product, and legal teams to protect and grow our tech reputation in a fast-growing AI/data infrastructure space.

Key Responsibilities

•Monitor media coverage daily, use AI to analyze coverage, gather insights, and identify opportunities to improve our media strategy; create and deliver quarterly PR impact reports; flag opportunities for newsjacking and drive approvals within tight timelines; monitor competitors to identify risks and opportunities; cultivate and maintain relationships with key journalists.
•Actively manage the creation, internal review, and approval process for critical content assets; work with the broader Marketing team to convert assets into press releases, media pitches, sales one-pagers, social campaigns, executive slides, and blog summaries while ensuring external-use clearance.
•Act as the internal advocate to secure time blocks for executive external engagements; own the pre-briefing process to ensure talking points are aligned with strategic narrative pillars.
•Serve as the internal checkpoint for partner and co-marketing announcements, ensuring alignment with credibility-first approaches and preventing premature publishing of content that could undermine PR goals.
•Coordinate with the agency on draft thought leadership articles, manage review cycles, maintain posting schedules, and drive the editing and approval process for high-quality press releases, briefing documents, and executive speeches.

Key Requirements

•5-7 years of experience in corporate communications or public relations, including time spent supporting senior executives
•Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
•Direct experience in B2B technology, enterprise software, data infrastructure, cloud, or AI/ML categories
•Demonstrated track record managing high-volume editorial pipelines and shepherding content from draft to external publication across multiple stakeholders
•Proven experience preparing executives for press interviews and conference appearances, including developing message frameworks and talking points
