Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct archaeological field work under the guidance of a field supervisor.
  • •Identify and recover Indigenous and Euro-Canadian artifacts.
  • •Follow health and safety protocols and AECOM procedures.
  • •Travel extensively across Ontario for extended periods and work in all weather conditions.
  • •Assist the Field Supervisor with technical aspects and contribute to training and junior leadership during field operations.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma.
  • •For Level II+ roles, previous relevant work experience is required.
  • •Must be able to perform strenuous archaeological fieldwork (lift up to 40 lbs and do repetitive movement).
  • •Communicate effectively with the Field Supervisor and attend work reliably in all weather conditions.
  • •Reliable transportation to and from assigned office or project meet spot, with sensitivity and awareness toward Indigenous culture and people.
