Key Responsibilities

•Independently lead and perform highly complex distribution system studies (voltage, thermal, N-1, reliability, resiliency, and power quality assessments).
•Serve as a recognized technical authority in Distribution Planning, providing expert guidance on system design and long-term strategy.
•Lead development and execution of comprehensive planning studies and 10-year capital plans, identifying deficiencies and recommending innovative solutions including Non-Wires Alternatives (NWA).
•Mentor engineers, lead cross-functional initiatives, and influence regulators and industry forums; contribute to policy development and planning methodologies.
•Represent the organization in industry groups, support regulatory proceedings, and provide expert analysis/testimony when needed; support storm restoration efforts.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 128,320 - 160,400 annually

Key Requirements

•BSEE required; Advanced degree (MSEE or equivalent) preferred; PE license preferred.
•10+ years of relevant experience in Distribution Planning, Reliability, or DER integration.
•Theoretical and practical engineering knowledge in planning, operations, design, analytics, and calculation; ability to document and defend engineering work.
•Knowledge of regulatory and compliance environment (NERC, NPCC, ISO, PUC, etc.).
•Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional programs and experience engaging with regulatory bodies and industry organizations.
