Key Responsibilities

  • •Set the architecture for how Command|Alert evaluates rule-based thresholds, ML anomaly scores, and correlation logic to produce high-fidelity alerts.
  • •Own alerting pipeline reliability end to end, including idempotency guarantees and load-tested behavior from OpenSearch evaluation through Kafka delivery and downstream notification.
  • •Drive correlation strategy to transform diverse telemetry and protocols into usable network/system topologies and dependencies for investigation and remediation workflows.
  • •Lay technical groundwork for generating alert definitions from a normalized data model using LLMs.
  • •Mentor engineers across alerting teams and represent Command|Alert’s technical direction to stakeholders outside engineering.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience designing, building, or operating high-reliability alerting or notification systems in production at scale, including rule-based and ML-based detection logic.
  • •Strong Kafka experience producing and consuming event streams for downstream delivery.
  • •Working command of telemetry and protocol data (security tooling output, monitoring telemetry, syslog, OpenTelemetry, NetFlow or sFlow, SNMP, ICMP, firewall logs) and turning it into network/system topology and dependency maps.
  • •Proven ability to build or operate systems where webhook reliability, idempotency, and delivery guarantees under load are non-negotiable.
  • •Recognized mastery of Go and/or Python, with experience across container orchestration and a multi-cloud footprint.
