Job Summary

Operate an asphalt paver as a core crew member to apply asphalt on highways, private roadways, parking lots, and driveways according to plans and quality specifications. Follow OSHA and company safety policies, maintain attendance and professional conduct, and handle physical demands of long shifts and extreme temperatures. Support asphalt crew tasks as needed, operate or learn other equipment, and guide dump trucks while backing to the machine hopper.

Key Responsibilities

•Apply asphalt on highways, private roadways, parking lots, and driveways by operating the paving machine per crew instructions.
•Ensure daily schedules/estimates are met and perform additional duties of other positions as instructed by the foreman.
•Guide and direct dump trucks while backing up to the machine hopper.
•Perform equipment-related tasks such as oiling, greasing, servicing, and making normal operating adjustments.
•Follow traffic control crew instructions and adhere to safety standards, including PPE maintenance and safe tool usage as needed.

Key Requirements

•Operate the asphalt paving machine to apply asphalt per plans and quality specifications as directed by the crew foreman.

•Be physically able to operate the paving machine for extended hours (normal shift 8–12 hours) and in extreme temperature conditions.
