Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate day-to-day activities in the assigned area to achieve established safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and training objectives.
  • •Coordinate work assignments and facilitate safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and training accomplishment for the assigned team.
  • •Work across multiple stations, troubleshoot issues on the line, and escalate as needed while keeping the line aligned to TAKT expectations.
  • •Drive Lean and manufacturing improvement activities (9 steps, 5S, TPM, GEMBA/Let’s Get Started), including writing/re-writing standard work and conducting standard work audits.
  • •Ensure safety and quality in the zone, document misses (including on Pareto), support continuous improvements, and work toward plant KPIs with WGM.

Key Requirements

  • •Able to work the line in multiple stations and help solve problems on the floor, escalating issues as needed.
  • •Train on safety, company policy, scheduling, overtime, standard work, and nonconformances; ensure pull system/business standards are followed.
  • •Lean and continuous improvement capability, including 9 steps (Lean), 5S, TPM, GEMBA/Let’s Get Started, and standard work/safety audits.
  • •Basic requirements vary by level (e.g., Team Lead II: 2+ years with Data Stream, NCMS, BBS, schedules, MDI board, and some Excel/Word; Team Lead III: adds Team Leader Development Program graduate and additional requirements).
  • •Crane Certified and/or completion of the Team Leader Development Program (as applicable) and some knowledge of Excel and Word (as stated).
