Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and build scalable data-processing pipelines that transform raw media and model-derived signals into structured, searchable intelligence for enterprise scale.
  • •Drive the technical vision and architecture for the media-intelligence data platform and search stack (ingest, enrich, index, and serve retrieval over billions of assets).
  • •Architect hybrid lexical+vector indexing and retrieval infrastructure for multimodal/cross-modal search, ranking/reranking, and rich filtering for both human and agent consumers.
  • •Make search first-class for agents via tool/function-call retrieval interfaces, multi-hop query planning, iterative retrieval, and grounded results with citations/provenance.
  • •Own index lifecycle and operational performance/cost (freshness/backfills/versioning, evaluation gates like recall/nDCG/groundedness, and platform SLAs with on-call and incident response).

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 190,200 - 345,650 annually

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years in machine learning, data, or infrastructure engineering with deep ownership of large-scale data processing and/or production search & retrieval systems.
  • •Expertise designing and operating search/retrieval infrastructure at scale, including vector/ANN, lexical search (Lucene/Elasticsearch/OpenSearch), hybrid retrieval, ranking/reranking, and query understanding.
  • •Strong data-engineering foundations for large-scale batch/streaming pipelines (Spark, Beam, Flink, Ray), data modeling, and supporting storage systems (object stores, vector databases, columnar/OLAP).
