Job Summary

Oversee and lead operational activities on site, managing the fleet manager team, freight sorting, AM courier loading, outside hire/contractors, and courier franchise training and remuneration. Key Responsibilities

•Ensure WHS policies and procedures are followed and actively promote a safe environment, including monthly safety toolbox meetings.
•Manage operational activities on site, including fleet manager team, freight sorters, AM courier loading, and contractor management.
•Oversee courier franchisee remuneration and train both new and existing courier franchises, including leadership development pathways.
•Ensure GCCD compliance and monitor pickup performance of couriers managed, including aged freight rotation.
•Implement and reinforce best-practice systems and procedures to improve business unit performance, productivity, and reduce errors via feedback, monitoring, and reporting.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 2 years in a management or team leadership role in fleet, transport, or logistics operations.
•Demonstrated success managing large teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
•Well-developed influencing skills with competent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
•Ability to communicate effectively across all business levels.
•Managing performance of people to targets and identifying areas for improvement and implementation.
