Own clinical safety for all Healthtech-1 products, including class 2a medical device strategy and technical documentation, post-market surveillance, hazard logs, safety cases, and incident investigation with close-loop follow up. Partner with product and engineering to set safety requirements in PRDs and release gates, and ensure evidence generation for NHS App integration. Author clinical explainers and governance materials for NHS bodies while evolving product development and incident-management processes.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead class 2a medical device strategy and maintain the technical file.
•Run post-market surveillance and ongoing clinical safety governance, including DCB0129 documentation, safety cases, hazard logs, and clinical safety reports.
•Generate clinical evidence for NHS App integration and author academic papers, white papers, and clinical explainers for ICBs.
•Investigate clinical incidents, communicate findings, and manage close-loop follow up.
•Co-own safety requirements in PRDs, design reviews, and release gates, and partner on data needed for safety monitoring and risk detection.

Key Requirements

•Be a doctor registered with the GMC (and note they are not considering nurses, pharmacists, physician associates, and dentists).
•Have experience practicing in the NHS.
•Have led a MDR or CE certification process before (class 2 or class 3).
•Have CSO experience in product teams (not just in the NHS).
•Experience that supports clinically safety, incident investigation, and safety governance work.
