Key Responsibilities

  • •Independently perform HVAC design tasks including load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork and piping layouts, and system sizing.
  • •Gather and interpret engineering data to develop design solutions, including preparing HVAC components of PS&E packages under general guidance.
  • •Prepare technical specification sections for HVAC systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • •Perform self-checks and technical quality reviews of calculations and drawings, documenting findings per company procedures.
  • •Coordinate with structural, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines to ensure integrated, conflict-free HVAC designs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • •Minimum 5–7 years of HVAC engineering design experience with the ability to execute primary design elements.
  • •Knowledge of HVAC systems including central air handling units, VAV, chilled water/heating hot water distribution, exhaust/ventilation, and split/VRF systems.
  • •Proficiency in HVAC load calculation and design tools (e.g., Trane TRACE, HAP, eQUEST or equivalent).
  • •Knowledge of applicable codes and standards including ASHRAE 62.1, 90.1, 55, IMC, and local energy/building codes.
