Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform DOT inspections and scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a shop environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems, including brakes, cooling, steering, engines, transmissions, and clutches.
  • •Determine parts required for each job and coordinate with the Shop Parts Department; manage concurrent tasks and priorities.
  • •Document repairs and findings on repair orders, including uploading pictures using company devices and/or the Karmak application.
  • •Maintain safety and compliance with company policies and federal regulations (including OSHA, EPA, and DOT), and complete required training.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or equivalent combination such as a degree/certification beyond HS/GED or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Complete required training and participate in company-required safety training.
  • •Obtain required certifications: ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
