Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the Ceramic Matrix Composites value stream and deliver CMC products to internal Pratt and Whitney customers.
  • •Establish and execute industrialization strategies for transitioning CMCs from R&D to Low Rate production and toward full-rate production.
  • •Transition new materials and manufacturing processes, standards, and operational plans for the CMC enterprise.
  • •Provide operational leadership and organizational management for the site, including capital/manpower accountability and workforce/staffing plans.
  • •Ensure quality, productivity, health/safety, environmental compliance, and executive-level reporting to senior Pratt & Whitney leaders.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, etc.) or equivalent, with 14+ years of relevant experience or 12 years with an advanced degree.
  • •5+ years of engineering leadership experience, including people/operations/budgets/strategy, plus 5+ years familiarity with manufacturing and/or supply chain and/or engineering functions.
  • •Proficiency with statistical, continuous improvement, and problem-solving tools and techniques.
  • •Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (AS 9100), including product integrity, quality systems, and engineering change management.
  • •Experience driving transformation, standardization, and operational excellence, including CORE initiatives.
