Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and in a timely manner while obeying traffic laws and observing safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading and unloading using specialized equipment when warranted, and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and perform routine service checks (e.g., oil/water/gas/air), reporting maintenance issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) appropriate for the vehicle weight (or chauffeur’s license depending on state).
  • •Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal/state DOT regulations, including a 10-panel drug screen for safety-sensitive work.
  • •Must pass a DOT physical and be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Maintain safe performance in a busy environment and communicate professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and meet physical demands of prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
