Key Responsibilities

  • •Own continuity of supply and improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics for photonic piece-part components and optical subassemblies.
  • •Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams and directly with suppliers to understand component and sub-system design intent.
  • •Identify, audit, and onboard new suppliers; support procurement by assessing supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems.
  • •Lead supplier quality issue resolution using root cause analysis and drive corrective actions through liaison between purchasing, engineering, production, and suppliers.
  • •Implement and monitor PPAP, ensure qualification and reliability activities align to requirements, and analyze quality/delivery metrics to drive supplier improvement plans.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • •Experience with photonics or electronics manufacturing, including photonic piece-part components or PCBA manufacturing (or related processes like wire bonding, active alignment, or fiber splicing).
  • •3+ years of experience in supply chain engineering, supplier development/quality, manufacturing, or design engineering.
  • •Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed to meet deadlines.
  • •Ability to travel up to 60% of the work week and hold a valid driver’s license.
