Job Summary

Provide L1 security managed services for clients by monitoring firewall infrastructure, identifying and investigating incidents, and routing them to the correct resolver group. Focus on maintaining zero missed SLA conditions through first-line support for standard and low-complexity incidents and service requests. Handle telephonic/chat client support when needed, schedule maintenance windows, follow shift handover procedures, update knowledge articles, and contribute to automation and disaster recovery testing when required.

Key Responsibilities

•Monitor client infrastructure and solutions to ensure firewall operations.
•Identify problems and errors before or when they occur, and identify common incidents and prevention opportunities.
•Investigate first-line incidents to determine root cause, and ensure efficient resolution and fulfillment of incidents and requests.
•Provide telephonic or chat support to clients when required, and follow shift handover procedures to maintain service continuity.
•Schedule maintenance activity windows for patching and configuration changes; report/escalate incidents, update knowledge articles, and support disaster recovery implementation and tests when needed.

Key Requirements

•Entry-level experience troubleshooting and supporting security, network, data center, systems, storage administration, and monitoring services in a medium to large ICT organization.
•Basic knowledge of management agents, redundancy concepts, and products within the supported technical domain (e.g., Security, Network, Data Centre, Telephony).
•Working knowledge of ITIL processes.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing (or demonstrated equivalent work experience).
•CCNA or a relevant level 1 network security certification is good to have.
