Key Responsibilities

  • •Own corporate security as the first security hire, defining security for an AI research lab.
  • •Manage identity and access (MFA, SSO, account lifecycle, device trust).
  • •Secure endpoints with device management, EDR, hardening, and patching.
  • •Limit untrusted AI agents/code access from laptops, accounts, and cloud.
  • •Handle incident response and coordinate physical security plus network for the San Francisco office.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years in IT security or security engineering with hands-on ownership of identity, endpoints, and corporate systems.
  • •Run SOC 2 audits and enterprise customer security reviews.
  • •Strong understanding of AI security and how AI agents change the threat model.
  • •Willingness and humility to own anything security-related yourself, big or small.
  • •Experience building cloud and CI/CD security, plus preferred familiarity with securing AI/ML research environments.
