Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead safety, quality control, budgeting, and regulatory compliance for maintenance and repairs for a fleet of 80+ rolling stock items.
  • •Oversee repairs and maintenance of heavy mobile equipment (haul trucks, material handlers, cable cranes, tractors, pole trucks, and support equipment) across mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • •Direct and support troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of mobile equipment electrical systems (not fixed-facility electrical infrastructure).
  • •Manage schedules to meet customer needs, control budgets, maintain inspection/time/production records, and ensure accurate site operations documentation.
  • •Supervise and develop a 16-person maintenance team, including managing leads/subordinates, training employees, requisitioning spare parts, and enforcing safety regulations and work rules.

Key Requirements

  • •Manage maintenance operations for large heavy mobile equipment fleets, including 80+ pieces of rolling stock.
  • •Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, powertrain/braking systems, undercarriage components, and mobile equipment electrical troubleshooting.
  • •Experience managing maintenance programs, parts inventories, budgets, and personnel for heavy equipment fleets.
  • •Proficiency with Internet Explorer/Chrome and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), Microsoft Windows, order processing systems, and payroll/time reporting systems.
  • •Willingness to work overtime and weekends, be on-call with a pager/cellular/radio, and travel as requested; must clear a drug screen and background check.
