Key Responsibilities

  • •Safely and efficiently handle Tyson trucks and customer trailers following plant policies and procedures.
  • •Keep trucks clean at all times and maintain the clean work area using soap and a high pressure hose.
  • •Receive work orders from the dispatcher over the radio and communicate/relay information to other co-workers.
  • •Report issues to management and complete daily paperwork and required logs.
  • •May operate equipment such as a frontend loader, man lift, or forklift, and obtain any required certifications.

Key Requirements

  • •Be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work early/late as needed, including meeting physical requirements with or without accommodation.
  • •Prefer a high school graduate/equivalent and have at least 6 months driving heavy equipment or trucks (non-CDL) with one employer in the last 24 months.
  • •Hold a valid driver’s license, with Motor Vehicle Record reviewed, and have no DUI/DWIs in the last 12 months.
  • •Communicate effectively to receive work orders from the dispatcher by radio and to relay information to co-workers.
  • •Pass the Tyson Yard/Lot Driver Assessment and be able to read to complete required logs.
