Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare designs and deliverables for primary electrical systems for transmission and distribution projects, including AIS/GIS substation configurations and equipment selection for up to 800kV.
  • •Develop single-line diagrams, GA layouts, equipment sizing, and equipment layout plans, including transformer layouts and electrical interconnection/termination documentation.
  • •Perform short-circuit force calculations, busbar sizing, fault current analysis, and protection design to ensure stability under fault conditions.
  • •Design earthing/ground grid and lightning protection systems for substations, and develop auxiliary systems including cooling, auxiliary power, and battery systems.
  • •Coordinate with civil teams and external vendors to integrate foundations, steel structures, cable routes, and to support BOM/equipment specification and procurement documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • •Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) license (or equivalent) in the relevant field from a global organization.
  • •Overall 15+ years of work experience (preferred).
  • •Mandatory experience on HV Plant Design for large EHV Grid Substations.
  • •Very good English communication skills (oral and written) and exposure to international standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, Australian Standards and Middle East codes/standards preferred).
