Job Summary

Service and troubleshoot building environmental-control systems by starting up and commissioning new equipment and repairing HVAC and BAS components. You’ll act as the direct customer contact on assigned projects, coordinate installation and repair requirements with a team leader and customer, and stay current on Trane product installation, operation, maintenance, and service. The role emphasizes safety, asset accountability, and flexibility for overtime and occasional overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities

•Start up and commission new systems, diagnose, and repair environmental-control systems using HVAC and Controls knowledge.
•Serve as direct customer contact and service products/equipment at customer locations to ensure customer satisfaction.
•Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand on-site installation and repair requirements by forecasting issues, gathering materials, and synchronizing work.
•Stay current on Trane products across installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems.
•Enforce safety standards and maintain security/accountability of company assets by recording use, wear, and conditions.

Travel: Low travel

Salary: USD 25.7 - 47.35 hourly

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma (or equivalent) and typically 3-5 years of experience in HVAC/Controls; Technical School or formal training is preferred.
•Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with handheld computers (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
•Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with no major or frequent violations, including specified offenses in the prior 3 years.
•Previous experience with DDC (direct digital control) systems is preferred.
•EPA is preferred.
