Key Responsibilities

  • •Own legal entity financial control, including accounting processes, month-end close, analysis, settlement of intercompany balances, and resolution of intercompany breaks.
  • •Support US GAAP and BAC subsidiary governance processes, prepare/review US GAAP and Local GAAP (IFRS) general ledger entries, and manage close period issue tracking.
  • •Partner with Treasury, Product Finance, and Line of Business teams to investigate product-specific balance sheet, P&L, and regulatory reporting issues, including lifecycle events, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • •Prepare/review internal management reports, regulatory reporting data submissions for US GAAP consolidation, and stand-alone external reports; manage FX process maps and hedging governance.
  • •Ensure monitoring and resolution of control issues, intercompany breaks, and balance sheet substantiation; perform audit liaison, support forecasting, and drive process improvements and ad hoc system/change projects.

Key Requirements

  • •Chartered Accountant / CPA qualification, with certifications such as an IFRS Diploma.
  • •Minimum 10-12 years of post-qualification experience in controllership—finance, accounting, and regulatory reporting, preferably in banking.
  • •Experience with legal entity and specialty product control and reporting in a financial services organization.
  • •Strong understanding of Corporate Treasury, Mortgage, and Consumer Vehicle Lending (Auto) and their accounting, financial, and regulatory impacts.
  • •Proficient use of Excel, Word, and MS Access, with strong written and verbal communication for global correspondence.
