Key Responsibilities

  • •Architect, design, and implement Microsoft Purview Information Protection and DLP solutions for enterprise customers from analysis and roadmap through transition and operations.
  • •Design and implement sensitivity labels and data classification (manual and automated), including encryption, RMS templates, BYOK/DKE, OME, and audit log retention.
  • •Create and operate risk-based DLP lifecycles including policies, rules, operational processes, and incident response; integrate Defender for Cloud Apps.
  • •Capture privacy and data protection requirements and build program governance elements such as business case, taxonomy, ownership/governance models, and rollout roadmaps.
  • •Design and introduce insider risk approaches and eDiscovery processes in a Microsoft Purview context; lead workstreams and present results up to C-level.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience designing and implementing Microsoft Purview Information Protection and DLP in Microsoft Security/Compliance projects (Consultant: 3–4 years; Senior/Architect: 7+ years).
  • •Strong knowledge of Microsoft Purview components including Information Protection (AIP/MIP), Data Loss Prevention, Sensitivity Labels, Insider Risk Management, and eDiscovery.
  • •Experience with encryption and key management such as BYOK, Double Key Encryption (DKE), OME, and Azure Key Vault/HSM.
  • •Experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps (MCAS) and Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance, plus Microsoft 365/SharePoint Online and Microsoft Entra ID (Active Directory fundamentals).
  • •Relevant education/study (e.g., (business) informatics) and willingness to travel as agreed; nice-to-have certifications like SC-400/SC-100, MS-900/AZ-900, CIPP, CISSP, CCSP.
