Key Responsibilities

  • •Structure, draft, and negotiate energy agreements powering FluidStack’s data center buildout, including PPAs, interconnection and transmission agreements, and utility infrastructure and services agreements.
  • •Advise on energy regulatory matters across FERC, state public utility commissions, and organized markets (ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP) while shaping engagement with utilities and regulators.
  • •Run complex end-to-end negotiations with sophisticated counterparties, balancing legal risk against business-driven speed.
  • •Manage outside counsel across substantive disciplines with rigor on scope, quality, and spend.
  • •Quarterback transactions cross-functionally with energy, site selection, development, and delivery teams to keep deals moving.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 225,000 - 350,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Hold an active license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction and meet admission requirements where you will practice.
  • •Independently structure, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements as lead attorney with sophisticated counterparties, including energy-related agreements like PPAs, interconnection/transmission, and utility infrastructure/service agreements.
  • •Make sound, commercially pragmatic calls in ambiguous, high-stakes situations where judgment changed outcomes.
  • •Oversee outside counsel across multiple disciplines with a rigorous bar on scope, quality, and spend.
  • •Write and speak clearly enough to translate dense legal issues into decisions and next steps for executives or counterparties.
