Job Summary

Provide independent product control for LNG trading, ensuring accurate P&L reporting, valuation integrity, and transparent exposure measurement across the trade lifecycle. Lead production, validation, and explanation of daily/monthly/quarterly LNG portfolio P&L, oversee mark-to-market valuation and balance sheet substantiation, and maintain robust financial controls. Partner with Trading, Market Risk, Finance, Accounting, and Operations to support audit-ready statutory reporting and commercial decision-making, while coaching Product Control analysts.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the production, validation, and explanation of daily, monthly, and quarterly P&L for LNG trading portfolios.
•Ensure accurate mark-to-market valuation processes and challenge valuation assumptions where appropriate.
•Oversee balance sheet substantiation, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
•Validate pricing curves, valuation models, market inputs, and trade economics; maintain valuation governance and independent price verification.
•Provide technical leadership, coaching, and guidance to Product Control analysts and help identify/escalate control exceptions and operational risks.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent).
•Experience in Product Control, Trading Finance, Commercial Finance, Risk, or a related function supporting commodity trading activities.
•Demonstrated experience delivering independent P&L reporting, valuation oversight, and financial controls.
•Strong understanding of commodity trading fundamentals, valuation techniques, and risk concepts.
•Experience partnering with Trading, Finance, Risk, and Operations stakeholders.
