Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop algorithms and design hardware/software to extend the state of the art in computing and networking.
  • •Invent new techniques, technologies, methodologies, processes, and devices that enable new products or product types.
  • •Contribute to long-horizon research that informs NVIDIA’s technology direction 5–10 years out.
  • •Work on projects such as optimizing AI communication stacks for training/inference and designing network protocols and congestion control.
  • •Deliver research outcomes including prototypes, patents, and publications.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 38 - 94 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Pursuing a PhD in CS, CE, EE, Physics, Math, or an equivalent program.
  • •Relevant research experience in hardware, software, and/or networking (industry or university).
  • •Strong background in networking architectures, topologies, routing, and system design.
  • •Evidence of research excellence, such as publications at top-tier conferences (or clear progress toward them).
  • •Hands-on experience with network and HPC simulation, plus familiarity with AI inference/training systems and communication patterns.
