Job Summary

Originate residential first mortgage loans for outside referrals, owning each loan from application through closing. Meet sales and cross-selling objectives while following mortgage company policies and federal lending regulations. Build referral relationships, gather and submit complete applicant documentation, manage the loan pipeline and required reports, and provide timely updates to branches and applicants. Use tools including Fannie Mae Form 1003, daily rates, credit reports, Loan Prospector responses, and LOMAS.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop referral contacts (realtors, builders, professional and personal contacts).
•Take and process applicant applications by completing Fannie Mae Form 1003 and using daily rates, credit reports, Loan Prospector responses, and LOMAS for transmitting the loan.
•Collect appropriate applicant documentation and deliver loan packages within management-set timeframes.
•Manage the pipeline for originated loans through closing and complete required management reports.
•Provide timely updates and progress reports to branches and/or applicants, maintain high customer service levels, and attend Consumer Lending meetings.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; four-year college degree is preferred.
•Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines.
•Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
•Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and demonstrated teamwork and customer service.
