Job Summary

Maintain and repair production equipment, tools, and machinery in a manufacturing environment. Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special purpose machines, troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery, and coordinate repairs with the Maintenance Supervisor or Head Mechanic. Use hand and power tools for welding, cutting, and part replacement; install electrical components; dismantle equipment using hoists and cranes; and keep parts and equipment lubricated and clean.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Head Mechanic.
•Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special purpose machines as assigned.
•Operate hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, and change parts to complete tasks.
•Test malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs, and coordinate with the head mechanic for approval and needed repairs.
•Install equipment and electrical components, dismantle equipment to remove defective parts using hoists/cranes, and lubricate/clean parts and equipment.

Key Requirements

•At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting performing manufacturing maintenance.
•Previous experience in plant machine maintenance, including hydraulics and electrical.
•Ability to trouble shoot PLC’s.
•Experience with welding (preferred but can work around).
•Ability to install equipment/electrical components and test for proper functioning.
