Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely along required routes, obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Load and unload equipment by maneuvering the truck/trailer into areas, following loading crew signals, and using specialized equipment.
  • •Maintain delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and provide documentation after routes are complete.
  • •Perform routine truck service checks (oil/water/gas/air) and report maintenance issues; arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimal loading.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) (or chauffeur’s license depending on state and vehicle weight).
  • •Pass background and drug testing as required by federal/state DOT regulations; pass a DOT physical for trucks over 10k lbs.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills and speak professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Be able to sit for long periods and lift/move up to 40 pounds; be able to travel frequently.
