Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, improve, and document robust solar module manufacturing processes.
  • •Serve as a subject-matter expert for assigned process or equipment sets.
  • •Design and execute process experiments; analyze and present results to drive improvements.
  • •Work with equipment OEMs to evaluate, install, and qualify tools and keep equipment/process performance in a 24x7 environment.
  • •Adhere to safety/EHS and quality procedures; execute continuous improvement plans and mentor junior engineers and technicians.

Salary: USD 80,700 - 115,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Associate’s degree in an engineering or similar technical discipline with 12 years relevant technical experience, or Bachelor’s with 5 years, Master’s with 3 years, or Ph.D. with relevant experience (or specified First Solar Development/Manufacturing Engineer I/II experience).
  • •Prior experience in semiconductor or PV R&D/manufacturing for thin-film deposition, thermal processing, wet coatings, automation, laser processing, or process/device integration.
  • •Demonstrated knowledge/experience in one or more areas including thin film deposition (PVD/ALD/CVD), thermal processing, wet coatings, laser processing, and metrology.
  • •Hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical and process issues and executing experiments in laboratory or manufacturing settings.
  • •Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with strong organizational skills and ownership of responsibilities.
