On-site Shop Trailer Technician II responsible for certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, welding and fabrication on trailers, under supervision, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to DOT regulations.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Always follows and complies with safe operating practices and procedures.
•Independently determine parts required for each job and interact with the Shop Parts Department to obtain.
•Maintain a clean and safe work environment and assist in end-of-day cleanup of tools, parts, and equipment.
•Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a shop environment.
•Document work on Repair Orders using company devices and upload pictures, and communicate with Shop Manager regarding repair estimates and RO findings.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 24.23 - 36.35 hourly

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
•Valid driver’s license.
•Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one prior to employment or within 72 hours of hire.
•Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
•Welding experience required.
