Key Responsibilities

  • •Spend time with manufacturing teams on the floor to understand real workflows, edge cases, and operational reality before designing software.
  • •Build and iterate factory software from prototype to production through integration, testing, hardening, rollout, and adoption support.
  • •Create operator-friendly interfaces that simplify manufacturing work while preserving traceability, auditability, permissions, and source-of-truth data integrity.
  • •Integrate systems across manufacturing and enterprise tools, including ION or successor platforms, TeamCenter, engineering documents, quality records, inventory, supplier data, and internal AI platform services.
  • •Build AI-enabled workflows for manufacturing procedures, inspection plans, material verification, job routing, as-built documentation, and operational decision-making, then review/debug/refine AI-generated code and workflows.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong engineering fundamentals across data models, APIs, service boundaries, integration patterns, and permission models.
  • •Write clear, maintainable code and evaluate generated code for correctness, security, scalability, and maintainability.
  • •A manufacturing and operations mindset focused on traceability, revision control, as-built records, material flow, inspection evidence, and handoffs.
  • •Experience using AI coding agents/agentic development workflows and the ability to guide, evaluate, and refine AI-generated code.
  • •Based in the United States and willing to work on-site in Austin, TX, embedded with manufacturing teams in person.
