Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead: Manage and delegate activities of the Risk Management team on complex projects or programmes; communicate with Senior Management / Stakeholders to deliver updates.
  • •Accountable for: Briefing the team on the project scope to ensure roles and responsibilities are understood; developing and maintaining leadership relationships with interfacing disciplines; line management activities including career development and performance management.
  • •Drive: Continuous improvement in Risk Management (and interfacing disciplines) processes to create efficiency and increasing benefits to our clients; the implementation, embedding and roll-out of any identified changes to Risk Management processes.
  • •Promote: The benefits and requirements of Risk Management within the project and programme team.
  • •Provide: Subject Matter Expertise; expert analysis (e.g. QCRA, QSRA) to relevant stakeholders and senior management; training and coaching to clients and less experienced team members on Risk Management processes and practices; support the management of the risk management team and associated business operation activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Tangible experience in managing and delivering Risk Management on complex projects/programmes is essential.
  • •Experience of interfacing with other project disciplines is essential.
  • •Experience in leading Risk Management teams is essential.
  • •Practical experience of several risk standards or approaches (ISO31000, APM, Orange Book, IPA), of Quantitative Risk Analysis and associated software (e.g. Safran, @risk, PRA) and comparative experience of risk tools (ARM, Predict!, Risk Controller, riskHive, Xactium) is essential.
  • •The ability to work in both delivery and transformation projects is desirable.
