Key Responsibilities

  • •Support traffic engineering work including signing & pavement markings and traffic signals.
  • •Perform traffic CAD design including signing & marking design and traffic signal design.
  • •Work on complex highway/interstate projects such as interchanges and interstate design elements.
  • •Collaborate on alternative delivery projects and mega-projects with AECOM teams.
  • •Apply knowledge of transportation design standards and documentation (e.g., AASHTO and MUTCD) to deliver compliant designs.

Key Requirements

  • •CAD Designers: BS degree or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience.
  • •Junior Level Engineers: BS in Engineering plus 2 years of related experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •Mid-Level Engineers: BS in Engineering plus 6 years of related experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •Senior Level Engineers / Task Leads: BS in Engineering plus 10 years of related experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •Preferred: EIT certification or PE license; State DOT experience; knowledge of the AASHTO Green Book and Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
