Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide human monitoring and operate ITS devices and other traffic control equipment, taking actions based on SOP guidance.
  • •Coordinate responses for roadway concerns, including incident, special event, and roadwork situations.
  • •Enter and maintain database records for incidents, special events, roadway concerns, and call logs.
  • •Assist with traffic data collection and troubleshooting using manual and automated surveillance features of ATMS/ITS and other TMC systems.
  • •Answer phone inquiries, respond to requests for assistance, and coordinate information and reporting with TDOT and operational partners.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma.
  • •0-2 years of experience with a TMC type facility and/or traffic management.
  • •Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • •Proficiency with computer/software tools, including MS Office applications, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • •Must be able to use digital roadway maps and have working knowledge of roadway elements, and successfully pass a criminal history background check.
