Job Summary

Provide mechanical quantity surveying and cost management across multidisciplinary projects, covering cost estimation, cost planning, quantity take-offs/BOQ, contract administration, and commercial management. Work with mechanical engineers, project managers, contractors, and clients to deliver projects within budget while meeting quality and compliance requirements. Bring expertise in HVAC and other mechanical building services, supported by tools like Excel, CostX/Cubit/CostOS, Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare preliminary cost estimates, detailed cost plans, and project budgets for mechanical services.
•Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and measurement take-offs from drawings and BIM models.
•Support value engineering, cost benchmarking, and cost analysis for mechanical building services.
•Perform contract administration tasks, including variation assessment, claims/change orders support, and progress payment review.
•Work with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to coordinate commercial matters and ensure compliance with quality procedures and standards.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or quantity surveying.
•5–12 years of experience in Mechanical Quantity Surveying or MEP Cost Management.
•Experience across commercial buildings, data centres, healthcare, industrial, aviation, transportation, or infrastructure projects.
•Knowledge of Mechanical Building Services systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing and drainage, fire protection, chilled water, medical gas).
•Preferred: membership or progress toward RICS, AIQS, IQSI, or equivalent professional body.
