Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage SIEM and analyze incidents from multiple sources, including network traffic and log analyses, and configure/administrate the SIEM environment (agents, alerts/rules, reporting, health).
  • •Prioritize and differentiate intrusion attempts from false alarms and advise incident responders on how to investigate and resolve security incidents.
  • •Identify, report, and resolve security incidents; determine resources needed, coordinate with teams, and create/track investigations through resolution.
  • •Compose security alert notifications and deploy/maintain security controls within the network to prevent and detect security events.
  • •Develop periodic reporting and trend analysis, tune systems to reduce false positives, track incident metrics, and automate security triage with scripting.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or closely related) and four years of experience in information security, or equivalent experience.
  • •Experience working with computer incident response (CIRT/CERT) or a security operations center (SOC).
  • •Hands-on SIEM experience and related security tooling (e.g., anti-virus, intrusion detection systems, firewalls, Active Directory, vulnerability assessment).
  • •Strong knowledge of operating systems (UNIX/Linux, Windows), networking/internet applications (TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, email), and encryption protocols (SSL, TLS, IPSEC).
  • •Shell scripting with Unix tools (sed/awk/grep) and Python; experience with logging and syslog technologies and PCAP analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark).
